Bring your aluminum cans by the Fire Department and help us help the South Carolina Burned Children's Fund and the Pediatric Burn Center.The Burned Children's Fund and the Pediatric Burn Center co-sponsor Camp 'Can' Do, a camp designed specially for burned children. The Burned Children's Fund also supports the FAN Club. This program matches firefighters with burned children to help them return to school as well as educate their classmates about the child's experience. Also accomplished is the creation of a hydrotherapy area in MUSC Children's Hospital, improving the necessary, but unpleasant dressing changes and treatments a burned child must endure.

Polaris responds to New Prospect

Last Wednesday BSFD responded to asst New Prospect transport a  injured hunter out of a wooded area.

In May 2011, Boiling Springs Fire District, Spartanburg Coroner's Office, Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, South Carolina Highway Patrol, Regional One Air Medical Transport, and Spartanburg County Emergency Medical Service participated in the Boiling Springs High School's annual Prom Promise Anti-DUI campaign. In which, a DUI-related motor vehicle accident is recreated in the school's parking lot. It is directed toward all Juniors and Seniors and is intended to STRONGLY reinforce the idea of NOT drinking and driving after the Prom. After the presentation, students are encouraged to sign the Prom Promise Pledge.
